The Little Norway outdoor museum has been owned and run by four generations of its founder,Isak Dahle. More than 70 years since it opened to the public Little Norway still leaves you with a sense of Magic!
Assembled in the homestead of early Norwegian settlers dating back to the 1850's, Little Norway is home to the largest private collectionof Norwegian folk art and artifacts. Overlooking the homestead is the "Norway Building". Built in Norway for Chicago's Columbian Exposition of 1893, it is an excellent example of medieval Norse architecture.
Little Norway has welcomed millions of guests from around the world since its opening in 1936. We are very proud to be on the National and State Register of Historic Places. Our outdoor museum and gift shop are open from May to October and we hope you can stop to see us! You may also take a "Virtual Tour" by clicking on the "Tour Little Norway" button to the left.
Enjoy shopping our website, which is open all year.
